Wednesday Why?

So the topic for today is your Occupation.

Why do you work where you do? Did you go to school for it or just kind of fall into your job?

Are you happy with your present job/employer? What is the best/worst about it?

If you could have any job in the world, schooling & money would not hold you back, what would you do and why?

Again I can't wait to hear your answers.

I work where I do because the schedule is wonderful for my home life. Even though I went to school to be a nurse, I did not seek out this job - it truly did fall into my lap.

I love my present employer and I like my present job. The best part is that the doctors I work for are incredibly generous and I have a very flexible schedule. The worst part is having too many women in a confined space.

If I could have any job in the world? It would be in a trauma center where I would never have to take care of pediatric patients. Not sure that such a place exists. Oh, and it would be nice if it were a M-F position. Not sure that exists, either. :)

My job is in a bank; although I went to community college for Business Admin/Accounting. I originally thought I wanted to be a CPA, but this job bascially fell in my lap.

I like the hours of my job and there's generally alot of flexibility, and I love most of my co-workers; however, without going into alot of detail, I have little respect for management. Which makes things a litle strained.

I have given alot of thought to what else I would like to do and I still just come up blank. I have NO idea!

Well, right now I'm disabled, but I am a nurse. My favorite job was as a specialist in infusion. All kinds of IV lines.. I did it at the hospital for 10 years, then went to home care, and had an infusion suite in a doctors' office. That was my favorite job of all time.. Played to all my strengths. I ended up in regular home care, when I moved to Florida.. and I loved the freedom and ability to make a difference in their lives and SEE it for myself! Wonderful feeling..
hugs,

*The hours are really good. My schooling is really special, the eating bon bons class was really tough. I hung in there and got an A! Lap, what lap?

* My job is relentless, hours of fun, interspersed with moments of drudgery such as laundry, and cleaning. I am happy with my employer. He gives really good perks. The insurance and travel program are great! The worst thing is that I do the same thing every day, but I am not complaining!

If you could have any job in the world, schooling & money would not hold you back, what would you do and why?

* I would be a pediatrician. I have always wanted to be a doctor.
